We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Your name and contact details, such as email address and phone number.
- Delivery and billing addresses.
- Order details and history, such as the products you buy, order totals, coupon codes used and delivery information.
- Account details if you create an account, such as your username and password (passwords are stored in encrypted form).
- Your newsletter email address if you sign up for our newsletter.
- Messages you send us, for example through our contact form, by email or by phone.

We do not collect or store your full card number. Card and wallet payments are handled by Stripe (see “Who we share it with” below).
You can browse the site without giving us your name. We need some details to process an order, so if you choose not to provide them we may not be able to fill your order.
How we collect it
We collect personal information when you:
- place an order at checkout;
- create or use an account;
- fill in our contact form, email us or call us;
- sign up for our newsletter (sign-ups are stored on our website); and
- use our website, through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we collect and use it
We use your personal information to:
- process, fulfil and deliver your orders;
- take payment and prevent fraud;
- provide customer support and respond to your questions, returns and warranty claims;
- manage your account;
- send you news, offers and product updates if you have signed up or otherwise agreed (you can opt out at any time);

- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We only share your personal information with people who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Stripe, our payment processor, to process card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Couriers and Australia Post, so your order can be delivered. They receive your name, delivery address and contact details.
- Our website, hosting and email providers, including WooCommerce, the platform our online store runs on, and the companies that host our website and email.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant, where needed.
- Government agencies or others where we are required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including Stripe and some website, software and email providers, may store or process personal information outside Australia, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in a way that is consistent with the APPs.
Marketing and how to unsubscribe
We will only send you marketing emails if you have signed up or otherwise agreed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask to be removed by emailing sales@goodmangrips.com.au. We may still send you messages about your orders, such as order confirmations and delivery updates.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in, remember your preferences, keep the site secure and, if we use analytics, understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. These include using a secure (HTTPS) website, using a payment processor for card payments, and limiting access to people who need it. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (for example, keeping order records for tax purposes). When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete it or make it anonymous.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, unless the law says we don’t have to. If you have an account, you can also update your details by logging in to My Account.
